What are your hours of operation?

The Shrine and mission grounds are open daily from dawn to dusk. The Gift Shop, Historic Chapel, Shrine Church and Mission Museum have posted hours that may vary by season or event. Please check our website or call (904) 824-2809 for current schedules.

Is there an admission or parking fee?

There is no admission fee. Parking is free for the first hour and during scheduled Masses, confessions and Eucharistic exposition. At other times, a parking fee applies after the first hour. Payment is made through the Passport Parking app, available on Apple and Android devices. Cash is not accepted.

Are restrooms available?

Yes. Public restrooms are located near the Shrine Church, Gift shop, Pilgrim Center and Pavilion. They are open during regular visiting hours.

Is the Shrine accessible for visitors with disabilities?

Yes. Designated parking, accessible walkways and restrooms are available throughout the grounds. If you need assistance during your visit, please speak with a member of our staff or a volunteer.

Is there a dress code?

Out of respect for the sacred nature of the Shrine and mission grounds, modest and appropriate attire is expected. Clothing that reveals or shows excessive skin or personal areas is not permitted. Visitors are also asked to refrain from wearing clothing with offensive language or imagery.

Are pets allowed?

To preserve and respect our historic and sacred property, pets are not allowed. Visitors with disabilities may be accompanied by a service animal. Please be mindful of Mass and other religious activities while on the grounds. Signs throughout the grounds remind guests that pets are not permitted.

Is food or drink allowed?

Light snacks and water are permitted outdoors. Out of respect for the sacred spaces, food and beverages are not allowed inside chapels or buildings.

Can I light a candle or request a Mass intention?

Yes. Visitors may light devotional candles at designated locations or request a Mass intention through the Shrine office or gift shop. Donations help support the Shrine’s mission and ministry.

Do you offer tours or pilgrimages?

Yes. Guided tours and pilgrimages can be arranged by contacting the pilgrimage coordinator at (904) 439-7253 or by email. Self-guided visits are also welcome.

Can I bring a group or school tour?

Yes. Group visits, pilgrimages and educational tours are welcome and should be arranged in advance. Please contact the pilgrimage coordinator by email or (904) 439-7253 for scheduling and details.

Can I get married at the Shrine?

The National Shrine of Our Lady of La Leche is not a parish and does not coordinate the sacrament of marriage. All arrangements must be made through the Cathedral Basilica of St. Augustine. The Cathedral staff will work with our staff to determine if your wedding can be accommodated at the Shrine.

Do you sell devotional items or religious gifts?

Yes. The Shrine Gift Shop offers devotional items, books, rosaries and gifts inspired by Our Lady of La Leche. For inquiries, call (904) 439-7260.

Do you allow professional photography or video recording?

Because the Shrine and mission are private property owned by the Diocese of St. Augustine, professional photography and video recordings are not permitted without prior written approval. Please review our photography and artistic renderings policy for details. For questions, contact the operations director by email.

Are bikes, scooters or skateboards allowed?

For everyone’s safety, bicycles, scooters, skateboards and similar devices are not allowed on the grounds. Bike racks are available for your convenience near the main entrance. If safety rules are not followed, you may be asked to refrain from the activity or leave the premises.

Is smoking or vaping allowed?

No. Smoking, vaping and the use of tobacco products are not permitted anywhere on the Shrine or mission grounds.

How can I make a donation to support the Shrine?

Donations are gratefully accepted to help preserve and maintain this historic and sacred site. Contributions can be made online, in person at the Gift Shop, or by mail.

Do you have volunteer opportunities?

Yes. Volunteers assist with pilgrimages, hospitality, gift shop operations and special events. To learn more, contact the Shrine office by email.
