
460th Founder’s Day
Celebrate 460 years of the Catholic faith at Mission Nombre de Dios, 101 San Marco Ave. in St. Augustine, site of the first Catholic Mass of Thanksgiving and the founding of what would become the oldest continuously occupied European settlement in the U.S. – St. Augustine. Fun for the family begins at 10 a.m. for a landing and reenactment by Historic Florida Militia, an outdoor Mass follows with Bishop Pohlmeier as the celebrant, a procession, and historical demonstrations.
