457th Anniversary Founder’s Day Celebration
Join us for our Annual Founder’s Day Celebration! Saturday, September 3, 2022 at 10am.
Historical re-enactment of the 1565 Landing of Pedro Menendez and founding of the city of St. Augustine presented by the Historic Florida Militia: Men of Menendez. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will follow at the outdoor Rustic Altar. Our newly ordained bishop, Most Rev. Erik Pohlmeier will celebrate his first Founder’s Day Mass.
This is a FREE, family-friendly event open to the public. Please bring your lawn chairs, sunscreen, water bottles, family and friends to celebrate the founding of the city of St. Augustine and the establishment of Mission Nombre de Dios.
Afternoon activities will continue at the Fountain of Youth Archaeological Park. (admission fees may apply).
